I know they had a trial type thingy when they released the expansion set not too long ago, they also occasionally have try-out weekends and what not. Dont think there's any on-going trial as there is for EVE-Online or WoW though.
The reason for this is probebly the fact that they dont charge a monthly fee and the fact that when they do have trials it's usually the whole game just on a time limited basis (as for example a weekend or there abouts).
