Anyone tried it? Looked into it etc?
I have been playing some on the Chinese servers for a few days after a friend set me onto it ( www.neogaf.com/forum/s...p?t=357662 if you are somewhat computer savvy and want to give it a go, everything works including English patch, been playing free for about 5 days now, lag sometimes an issue) and it looks promising.
There seems to be a lot of restrictions on the places you can use your wings, at least early levels (only made it to 11 so far). And I guess the art style is somewhat an acquired taste. Overall though it's darn decent, nice graphics, engaging combat and what not. Of course it'll stand or fall on the end-game just like all the others, but I'll probably have to give the full version a spin when it's released here.

how many keys are required to unsheath your weapon and attack, more than 4?
All looks a lot more polished than other games which I've looked at recently though

I am still recovering from the shock of Darkfall's interface - Aion seems to be much more fluid in interaction and implementation though based on the videos.

are there any loadingscreens?
areas/zones or open world?
instancing? |
The only serious loading screens I've encountered so far is when you enter the game, seems to be less loading screens then WoW overall. There are instanced dungeons from what I've heard, again similar to WoW. The world seems to be made up of zones, I've yet to find a way to get to the capital that does not involve teleporting by an NPC for example. But then again, because I havent gotten very far in the game I might be mistaken about that.
Overall first impressions are good, but then again so were they for War and AoC for me, so I guess we'll see...

Preordered on Steam.
Deliberately NOT trying the beta.
Any major differences in play style between the two factions?

Greetings and salutations G...hiding out in Canada for a month...just about to get an RV and wobble off into the lakes for two weeks.
Scarey! As I have my 7 year old daughter with me, I don't know who will be more scared, me or the bears!

Hey H! Not that I've noticed yet, classes are all the same and skills also seem to be. As far as I've seen yet the major difference just seems to be the graphical representation, once side looking all angel-like and the other more demonic.

Sausage,
You know it has to be My Little Porny to get you interested!!
I will give it a sniff to see if it's up to anything or not, but admittedly, I am not in any sort of bursting hurry to get into hardcore gaming again at any time soon!
P.S. Moose are bloody huge....saw one at 20' away as we were trecking in the arsehole end of nowhere, and the bloody thing was 7' at the shoulder.
P.S.S. It had nice legs too Sausage, so I got its cellphone number for you...
Lith, have you had a go at the rogue vermin class yet?
