Travel arrangements for CLOWN-meet at Ulf's

Hey hey CLOWNs!

Me and Hef were talking about how to best get outselves and our gear to Ulf's the other day and thought we would see what others were thinking and if somehow we could arrange something.

Would be nice to hear where ppl were coming from and how you guys are planning to get where we are going! Reply to the post and I will try to make some sort of summary of travel plans.

As for me, and probably I can also speak for Hef here, we will want to bring our desktops (and screens and whatnot) and beer, and if there is room, some clean clothes and hygiene stuff with us.
Taking that on a train of bus will be a struggle, so we're thinking car. The downside to that is that someone will have to be the designated driver. We've also mentioned renting a minibus and picking up fellow lunatics along the way.. How this would be arranged is still very much unclear, but we'll figure it out if there is an interest from others.

If you need to hire a car I can probably get you a 30% discount - or is Hef still driving his mini tank?

Failing that I distinctly remember someone owning a helicopter....

And there will be no sleeping over in hotels and such crap. All is sleeping at my place. Unless you dont mind 10milion dollar taxi bills.

There's 3 valid options for transport for the danes ...

By flight we will be landing in Gardemoen Airport (think thats the "main" airport in Oslo ?) ... Flight time is 1:20 hour
Price for 3 adults is 2.547,- NOK (that's approx 2.164,- DKK), and thats all included both ways with Norwegian Airlines

By car we could use mine, there's 600 km from Copenhagen to Oslo and it takes approc 7 hours ... I can use my company fuel card before we leave, but we'll have to pay the fuel for the return ourselves, approx 500,- DKK.
We would be going throgh Gothenburg, so perhaps if i left my own car at the repairshop for some invented reason the day before, i could take a shuttle van and that would give seats to the guys from Gothenburg ... Just a suggestion ...

By bus it will take 8:20 hours, and the price for 3 adults is 1.656,- DKK for both ways ... Personally i hate busses ...

That sounds good... splitting a fuel bill for a car rather than a plane has got to be cheaper....can we sing while we drive?

The idea of driving a van from Copenhagen, picking up Clowns as you go sounds like a pretty sweet deal.. If possible, I vote for that (provided I get a seat). The singing scares me tho.

Just a question - going by car will take approx 7 hours in total from Copenhagen via Gothenburg to Oslo ... Will you guys take friday off from work ? I know i am Very Happy

I thought about letting the travel start at 09:00 am in Copenhagen, arriving in Gothenburg around 12:30 - 13:00, and then getting to the final destination around Oslo approx 16:30 - 17:00 ...

@ Van and Stoffer - can you both make the start time in Copenhagen ?
@Mole and Hef - can you both make the time around noon in Gothenburg ?
@Ulf - arriving at your place around 17:00 doable for your plans ?

It works. Also wanna say that by going by car you save airport traib costs and buss. About 200 each way
