Well I can tell you now.... if you're not sick don't eat at a hospital cafe, they're definitely trying to drum up business!
Joe's op went well.
We got there about 8:00, (well I got there about 7:30 cause I have expensive tyres), he got all settled in and just played with everything which was good as he'd not had breakfast or slept as long as he would normally.
His op was scheduled for 10 but he didn't get taken through until about 11:10 and then he was back with us by about 12:45 I think.
Now if you're squeemish look away........
...they went in through the belly button, put two cameras in and had a good look about.... as they couldn't see anything they came out and made another hole a bit lower down and to the right. Sent in one camera and sure enough they found the elusive testicle. It hadn't really developed and wasn't viable so they just whipped it out, no extra charge. Stitched him up, slapped him on the arse I expect for good measure and gave him back.
He's an ideal kid to operate on in my opinion as he doesn't seem to ever fuss. They kept telling us that he'd cry as they administered the anaesthetic but he didn't... he just giggled, laid back and closed his eyes. Coming round he didn't really cry either... he dropped 'lion' at one point and that caused a bit of a disturbance but given what they'd just done to him I think he was remarkable relaxed.
I left him dozing quietly. He should be home by the end of the afternoon and as far as they're concerned that's it, job done. The only reason they might ever need to see him again would be if he wants to get a prosthetic one

Your only other concern, and something you may want to have a chat with the quacks about, is that lads with an undecended one have a much greater chance of developing testie cancer in later life.
I'm not sure of the differences if they bring it down and stick it back in the bag or if they just leave it where it is.
Take a look at the everyman website - I'm sure that they will have some kind of info regarding this.
Those tyres sound good though
