OK so I've booked my flights to Gotham City. My long-suffering girlfriend is coming on this trip too, so while in Sweden I'll try and steer the conversations away from WoW and onto things like shoes and clothes or whatever to keep her interest Wink

What I want to know now though - is there realistically enough floor space around for us or should I pay for a hotel? If the latter, any suggestions for reasonably central ones (cheap and cheerful as poss!)? Wink

On a side note, I hate Ryanair. At least SqueezyJet are up-front with their charges, but the amount Ryanair end up charging you for is staggering. Each page you get more charges added to your total Sad

PAGE 1 - Select
First the price doesn't include taxes so you think you're getting a great deal.

PAGE 2 - Confirm
Then they add taxes - fair enough I guess as they're not really responsible for them.

PAGE 3 - Contact
Then they charge you a tenner for checking in a single bag. What the hell?!
Then they try and charge you a priority booking fee when you select 0 bags for check-in (£4!!!) and only let you deselect the priority booking by clicking an obscure link on the page rather than selecting it from a drop-down menu.

PAGE 4 - Payment
Then they even charge you £7.00 to charge your debit/credit card!

It's a disgrace. Good thing I like you guys, otherwise I would have given up in disgust ages ago! Very Happy

Sorry pal... should have let you have the Irishman's discount code. Ryanair doesn't add any taxes then and you get a pint of Guiness at take off and landing Smile

Good question Ade. Id say we need to sort this asap. Realistically there is not floor space for all the lunies coming (if everyone on that list is actually coming). I think we need a new thread to pinpoint whos coming and who needs accomodation or not.

I get discount to 450 SEK / room incl breakfast.
and there is 3 of them Scandic hotels in the center of GBG.
Bad thing is that Iam not allowed to book room before 30 days
of arrival...

Thats prolly the best offer you can get. How many rooms are you allowed to book Ulf? (in theory - I do realise there might not be enough rooms available)

Belive I can pull off something like 3-4 rooms / hotel.
This depends ofc on if it is fully booked or not from before.
Can investigate how it looks already now though..

oh forgot.. You can ofc sleep 2 persons in each room for that
price. (incl breakfast)

I rather like the idea of the floating hotel, so will probably go for that one for the extra £15 so there's one less person to sort out Wink

Floating hotel is an Ibis, £50 a night so not that bad. Gloom put it on the first page.

Super duper Scandic Crown hotel.

+ Smack in the middle of town at the Station.
+ Jacuzzi ans sauna at top floor with view over the town.
+ alittle cheaper then the floating hotel.
+ did I mention the jacuzzi? Well.. worth mentioning twice...
+ Pets aloud

- Well.. Might be dangerous waiting until one month ordering rooms.
Will be sad not getting one there and not any other place.
good part is that you can order tree or water hotel and cancel if I can fix room.
