"No one really knows how or when RINGMASTER entered the scene. There are those who say he had existed since the beginning of time. Though Ringmasters vision and idea is well-known today, little is known of the man himself, his life and journeys. There are even those who claim Ringmaster is of divine nature.
Stories tell that Ringmaster during eons wandered different worlds, slowly forming an idea. What he saw, heard and experienced was carefully evaluated, differentiated and finally put together in what came to be know as the CLOWN spirit. Upon almost completion of the idea he sought out four simple, but high spirited souls. His search lead him to a northern and very cold continent were he found Micena, Afghan, Cullyn and Trybbe.
Old writings claim Ringmaster was overwhelmed in the northern atmosphere of craziness and lunacy, and thus immediately founded the very first CLOWN (Crazy Lunatics Of the Wild North) school. His apprentices later graduated and became the first CLOWNs ready to uphold, nourish and teach Ringmasters vision. This mark in time is often referred to as THE clowning.
The small but merry company travelled the countryside and touched everyone they met with laughter and compassion. As the seasons shifted, the community grew both in size and in respect. Not all was good though. Ringmaster aged, as if he finally could let go of the force driving him. Though he didn’t show any signs of weakness one could occasionally catch the change in his eyes. When news came of a new continent being discovered he proclaimed a last request; to preserve its innocence and defending it from evil, all in the name of clown spirit.
All but a few CLOWNs left the old land together with Ringmaster. Of this almost all sources are convinced. What happened during the journey is however covered in darkness. Some say the ship sailed off of the worlds edge, others claim horrible sea-monsters surfaced, a few just states that "something terrible" happened.
Only a handful made it alive, among them Ringmaster whose condition got worse. He died a few days later and was buried by Micena and Afghan. The location of his last resort is to this very day a well kept secret. Whatever said and done at the funeral died with Micena and Afghan. Unconfirmed rumours has it they passed on secret knowledge to the next generation; Gloom, Ulv and Valkyria. Gloom later spoke, during a fever delusion, of "the legacy of Ringmaster" and "when the time is right all will be revealed".
The CLOWN spirit spread fast across the new continent. They still continue their ever going task to uphold the right and defending the weak, all within the CLOWN spirit. Ringmaster is still present in thought and devoted temples. He should be proud, knowing his ideals are ever lasting."
