Look back at CLOWN over the years

Gaming has changed so much since the days of UO. Back then think about it, the PC was just becoming affordable. People where getting internet all over the world. It was dial-up then, no broadband. I think back then there where more adults then kids playing on computers because they where just becoming popular.

Now 95% of kids have a pc in their room prolly by the age of what 10-12, and OMG how they act. Letting any kid under the age of 16 have a puter in his room is in my opinion just as dangerous as giving them a gun.
Just go take a look at the Dark Fall forums. Geez i never seen anything like it.

WoW is also a game that will break even the strongest of guilds because of the way its set up. Raid Raid Raid. If you cant give me what i want there is another guild that can. Been there done that, got the T-Shirt.

I am actually playing UO again. Europa shard is very active. Its fun and people are nice. DF not for me, hate total PVP: I like to pvp but when i want to, not when someone comes along and decides i should.

The above post by Nyte is so true. This is why our little jester (not so little anymore) is not allowed to have a pc in the room, unsupervised. Parental controls and all (this is why some of the things you all send me doesn't make it past my own parental control limits. LOL I need to be controled as well LOL )

The computer age is killing kids. Ask a kid to look something up and what book to use and they are like "why use a book, look it up on the internet"
Our jester is forced to use books and not the internet because we say so LOL teachers hate us but too bad.
Over half the work kids are being taught today is printed off the internet. They don't even use a ciriculum book anymore. *sigh*

Guess all us computer geeks, unwillingly taught our kids that computers are the in thing.

In regards to AFFIE and PVP, we all knew that and you notice he never did answer me. I still like to think it was because you all were watching my back. But I guess "you just had to burst my bubble" ANd I notice you capitalized ALSO does this mean you all knew I sucked at PvP also ad never said anything? Oh wait there were 2 of you THAT DID say something to me on more than one ocassion on how bad I played. But my playing ability never bothered me, there was other content other then PvP LOL

I couldn't PvP in UO, I was useless...

There was this one time when Slin, myself and Ary (think he was there) were chased by a group of pk's up to CLOWN Town. Now, Gloom was stood on the steps to his house which was next to ours, I ran into my house and "hid" and Gloom got ganked good and proper by them instead of me Embarassed

I was such a coward Smile

The reason we were chased by a group of pk's was because we were picking off lone pk's...

God I miss the old UO days, no other game like it, and sadly there wont be either Sad

You got that right Balder......we had some great times in UO didn't we all?? Heck for me it was the place were I joined CLOWN and eventually got spanked really hard during my clowning in the star room Mr. Green

That was at the time when Romano was guildmaster I think.

Oh well things come and go as the time passes.

If only they would release UO with the same game mechanics (same world, same places, same housing, same pvp system, etc) but in a new 3D world. That would be truely interesting to see!
