G'day folks!

I was just now wandering about the 'looks' of the website. I strongly feel that it might be time for a breath of fresh air. Don't ya think?

Under the slogan of: 'brightening things up the CLOWN way'

One of the things I was thinking of is a slight color change. Using more brighter and quote: 'happier colors'. For example the current color ranges we use in the CLOWN logo on top of the page. We could use more black (for bigger contrast), in variation with slight orangy and yellowish colors.

Website content, as in news posting & other polls, could it be possible to create a news submit /poll form? Which everybody, only the registered off course, can submit a news /poll item. Which then needs to be approved by editors to avoid any spam usage.

What do you all think? I believe its worth trying, would love to see the site become a more jolly looking place together with all the fine and jolly CLOWN's!

There are a few dif themes made by Adenas. As an example, Im using the one that gives the site a dark red background. Your are talking about changing/adding to the themes?

I was asuming anyone could submit news? Submissions have to be aproved by staff members though.

Aye, and I was especially thinking about making this the new 'standard theme'. So when people first register or visit the site it will be a more brighter /happier one. From the themes I do like the 'default' theme, with its page setup and color usage springs out the most. But I believe more could be reached using the clown logo colors.

Like making the title bars a deeper orange (like the orange skirts in UO :mrgreen:) then using either white background color for good contrast (like the shirts in UO :mrgreen:). Then blending a dark color (black?) alongside the site perhaps for further contrast and fixation on topics. With us being a circus and all....bright and odd colors are a must Very Happy

The bright color setup of the default could be used as the template in my opinion. But then finely adjusted with a slighter other range of colors.

As long as the default setting of theme, (as most people have probably forgotten that you can set your own theme), could be changed. Making the first impression one of total and utter blindness of my neckidness..uuhh...clownish pride! Mr. Green

I think my eyes were still in twilight mode, totally missed the 'submit news' button on the left hand side! Does this also apply to the polls?

Also the World of Warcraft menu can probably best be changed to just its title. (expandable menu?) And for example beneath the WoW menu an expandable menu for Age of Conan? Or perhaps adding seperate Wii /PS3 /XBOX360?

Further modernising the current flow of console games and try to promote its usage amongst our ranks.

But this neckid dutch bloke would simply love a new theme, we're a 'bright' bunch so lets show it! Bring color and life back to our jolly neighbourhood! Mr. Green

Hehe. I only use the white work-friendly theme so don't have any particular urgency for this, however a nice redesign now and again can add new life to things.

If you mock up a screenshot I'll do my best to convert that into a new theme.
